Preserving family recipes programs planned at libraries

The Jackson County Public Library is hosting sessions on preserving family recipes.

They are:

  • 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Medora branch, 27 W. Main St. (registration required by Tuesday)
  • 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Crothersville branch, 120 W. Main St. (registration required by Oct. 15)
  • 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Seymour branch, 303 W. Second St. (registration required by Nov. 9)

Participants will learn how to preserve heirloom recipe cards and photos of family cooking in the kitchen as well as find clues in heritage recipes about the times and places in which ancestors lived.
