The IHSAA unveiled its 2018 football sectional pairings on Sunday evening.

Seymour got a bye in the first round of the Class 5A Sectional 15 tournament, so they will have a week off before opening postseason play on Oct. 26.

The Owls (5-3) will travel to the winner of Columbus East (6-2) at New Albany (5-3).  SHS lost to New Albany 21-7 this past week, and to East 42-6 on Aug. 31.

The lower bracket will feature Bedford North Lawrence (7-1) at Floyd Central (4-4).

In the Class 3A Sectional 31 draw, on Oct. 19, Brownstown Central (7-1) will host Corydon Central (3-5) to open postseason play. The Braves beat the Panthers 49-0 on Aug. 17.

Should the Braves win, they will go to the victor of Salem (4-4) versus Charlestown (6-2).

In the upper bracket, Batesville (6-2) faces Greensburg (3-5) and North Harrison (5-3) plays Lawrenceburg (4-4).
