Adults are invited to play cribbage, a card game for two to four players, at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

Experienced players are welcome, and volunteers Terri and Ed DeVoe will teach beginners. Registration is not required.

The free library cribbage meetup takes place on the first and third Thursdays of each month.

Cribbage is a card game of numbers, strategy and fun. A pegboard is used to score the game. A characteristic feature of cribbage is the "crib," and the object is to make counting combinations for points that are scored on a cribbage board. Cards and boards are provided.
