Police serving a search warrant at a Medora residence Wednesday wound up arresting four people on drug-related charges.

Shawn T. Bowman, 37, Teresa J. Bowman, 47, and Scylar E. Barker, 28, all of Medora, and Savannha D. Cobb, 26, of Seymour were arrested on charges of dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Additional charges are possible, according to a news release from Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, public information officer for the Indiana State Police Versailles Post.

The investigation began when troopers with the Indiana State Police Versailles District All Crimes Policing Team went to 67 E. Washington St., Medora, after receiving a tip that drug activity was taking place at the residence.

Upon arrival, troopers made contact with Shawn Bowman and Teresa Bowman, who both live at the home. Troopers soon observed indicators of methamphetamine production and use on the property, so they applied for and received a search warrant for the residence, Wheeles said.

During a search of the home, police found suspected methamphetamine, items associated with the production of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, Wheeles said. Barker and Cobb also were found in the home.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team responded to dismantle the suspected methamphetamine production operation, Wheeles said.

The Bowmans, Barker and Cobb were arrested and then transported to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown, where they are being held pending their initial appearance in Jackson Circuit Court.

The Indiana State Police was assisted by the Medora Town Marshal’s Office and Jackson County Probation Department.
