A capital fund drive at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brownstown recently was announced to members.
The initiative, entitled the "Building a Better Ministry Together," has goal of raising the funds required to expand the church to better serve its mission and ministry, according to a news release from Pastor Jeremy Yeadon.
A minimum goal of $1.2 million has been set for the effort which will enable the church to build out the narthex, restrooms and perform additional maintenance.
The campaign will officially begin with a kick-off celebration Sunday and end the weekend of Feb. 3. Members and select others will be personally visited and invited to support the project during the drive.
Walsh & Associates, a Burnsville, Minnesota-based fundraising consulting firm with offices throughout the country is providing campaign advice and assistance.
The church has been a part of the community since 1900.
