SpaceGuard Products Inc. recently announced that John Sloan joined its team of solution providers as director of business development.

He comes to SpaceGuard, a leader in the manufacturing of wire mesh protective guarding products, with a long-standing career as a results-oriented sales and business leader within the material handling and industrial storage industries, according to a news release from the company.

Sloan has served in roles such as regional sales, national account and sales management over the past 15 years for several nationally recognized manufacturers of warehouse products.

Most recently, he was the national accounts manager for Cubic Designs, a manufacturer of elevated work platforms and safety products. He also held a board position with the Steel Manufacturers Association during that tenure.

“I have great respect and admiration for John and knew his talent was the perfect fit for our current and continued planned growth,” said Eddie Murphy, president of SpaceGuard Products. “John brings the expertise in building a brand and the ability to penetrate national accounts. His appointment is a sign of our commitment to grow and support our broad and diverse customer base in an ever-increasing competitive marketplace.”

Murphy also said Sloan’s knowledge of the industry will prove invaluable as the company launches new products and technologies aimed to create high-quality solutions for customers.

SpaceGuard Products is a privately owned, U.S. manufacturer of wire mesh partitions, security cages, storage lockers and various barrier guarding products. The company has manufactured and marketed several nationally-recognized brands, including FordLogan Woven Wire Partitions and BeastWire Mesh Guarding, since 1990.
