Local haunted attraction conducting toy drive

Seymour’s Fear Fair, one of the scariest haunted attractions in Indiana, is joining forces with Sertoma Christmas Miracle to ensure children do not have to go without gifts this Christmas.

Angela Black, general manager of Fear Fair, is inviting the public to come out to the attraction, 800 A Ave. East in Freeman Field, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and bring a new, unwrapped toy to help less-fortunate children.

“The proceeds and toys will be donated to Christmas Miracle,” Black said. “We are super-excited to introduce Seymour’s kids to Krampus for a good cause.”

Christmas Miracle is not associated with any national or international toy drive, said Ryan Begley, co-chairman of the project and president of the Sertoma Club of Jackson County.

Gifts and money donated to Christmas Miracle are used only for the children of Jackson County.

Black said with a donation of a toy or a freewill monetary gift of any amount, the public can get a professional glossy photo with Santa’s furry foe, Krampus. Santa Claus may be coming to town, but Krampus is already here.

“The Fear Fair merchandise shop will also be open on Saturday for those last-minute Christmas gift purchases,” Black said. “Don’t miss this family-friendly, free event supporting a good cause.”

Earlier in December, Fear Fair hosted A Creepy Christmas, where Krampus, Scary Santa and his elves were on hand to entertain attendees with holiday horror and nontraditional fun in the seasonal event.

The next event Fear Fair will host is a scary Valentine’s Day-themed event in February.
