The Kids Only Book Club for third- and fourth-graders will meet from 3:35 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Feb. 21, March 21, April 18 and May 16 at the Brownstown Public Library, 120 E. Spring St.

Participants must have read one book before each meeting. During the meeting, each participant will give a brief book talk about their selection. The goal of a book talk is to tell enough about the title to encourage fellow participants to read the title without giving away the ending.

Following the book talks, participants will have time to socialize, make recommendations for future programs and participate in various group activities.

Snacks will be provided during all meetings. Children with food allergies or food-related medical conditions may bring their own snack.

Bus transportation after school is available to the library, so check with your school for the current bus route.

All parents should make arrangements to pick up their children promptly at 4:30 p.m.

If school is canceled due to weather, the book club also will be canceled, and that meeting will not be rescheduled.
