SHS taking HOF nominations

The Seymour High School athletic department is accepting nominations for its Hall of Fame class of 2019.

Individuals may nominate athletes or teams who have been out of high school at least 20 years prior to being eligible for nomination.

A team is inducted and honored by the HOF with a team plaque. Individuals from the team are eligible for induction as an individual.

Coaches or contributors may also be nominated.

An individual who has made outstanding contributions to athletics in some capacity other than athletes, such as coach, athletic administrator, sports medicine, sports media or financial supporter may be nominated.

Nomination forms are available on the athletic department’s website, and are also available at the Seymour home basketball games.

Inductees into the HOF will be selected by a board of directors. The deadline for nominations is April 1.

The class of 2019 will be inducted in December during the home basketball game against Jennings County.
