Phi Beta Psi sorority celebrates Founder’s Day

Theta Omega chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority met at Larrison’s Diner in Seymour on Feb. 6 for its February social and Founder’s Day celebration.

Seventeen members wore red and white along with their sorority pins and came ready to eat and socialize. A table game was played with winners being Angi Reynolds, Melanie Klakamp and Karen Sutton.

Colletta Jo Pfaffenberger read the Founder’s Day tribute. She was assisted with the lighting of the candles by Jennifer Payton. Phi Beta Psi was founded 115 years ago Feb. 15, 1904, by six young ladies in Columbus, Ohio.

Other prize winners were Pfaffenberger, Jamie Grinstead and Janet Cooper. Hostesses were Payton, Doris Baurle, Jan Robinson and Katie Cooper.

This month’s business meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Community Foundation of Jackson County in Seymour.
