Mark Bessenger, a 1978 graduate of Jennings County High School now living and working in the Los Angeles film industry, is returning to Indiana to appear at Comic-Con, a joint collaboration of Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus and the Columbus Learning Center.

Comic-Con will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the University Library of Columbus inside the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave.

Bessenger will appear as a panel guest discussing the topic “The Future is Fantasy” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Summerville Room.

Two of the North Vernon native’s films, “Ninja Zombie” and “Bite Marks,” recently were added to the video collection at the Jennings County Public Library.

Bessenger also will have a booth selling DVDs of his films.

"Bite Marks," a horror-comedy about vampires terrorizing three men trapped in the cab of a semi-truck, was filmed locally in North Vernon, Hayden and Seymour in 2010.

Some of his other projects include “Fiendish Things,” an audio horror radio series on YouTube, and a new documentary entitled "Henchman: The All Leong Story" about an infamous martial artist/stuntman/movie bad guy Al Leong.

Food and drink will be available at the Dancing Goat Café and food trucks.
