Brown County tops Trinity Lutheran

NASHVILLE

Trinity Lutheran could only push a single run across home plate in a 4-1 loss at Brown County Wednesday.

The Cougars fell behind 3-0 in the first inning and weren’t able to recover.

Trinity was outhit 7-5, with Savannah Harweger recording three singles.

Kamzi Gross pitched all six innings for the Cougars, finishing with five strikeouts, one walk and two earned runs.

The Cougars (7-9) travel to South Ripley Thursday.

Cougars finish second in tri-meet

LACONIA

Trinity Lutheran shot 177 strokes to finish second of three teams at Chariot Run Tuesday.

Jeffersonville shot 173 to win the tri-meet and West Washington scored 222.

Jacob Keith led the Cougars with a 41, Mark Shoemaker carded 44 and Ryland Nierman, Josiah Foster and Jacob Sabotin (46).
