Viewing the universe program planned at library

As a part of the A Universe of Stories summer learning program, the Jackson County Public Library will offer “The Universe and How to View It” at 2 p.m. June 23 in the meeting room at the library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

Steve Haines from the Indiana Astronomical Society will take attendees for a trip around the solar system beginning with the sun. They also will have the opportunity to learn the basics of telescope design and how to choose the right one for their interests.

There is a minimum of 10 registrants, so registration is required for this free program for adults and youth ages 10 and older by going to myjclibrary.org/events or calling 812-523-4636 by June 20.
