BROWNSTOWN

The Brownstown Central High School boys golf team recently concluded its season with an awards program in the middle school cafeteria.

BCHS, coached by Brandon Allman, finished with a record of 12-41 overall. The Braves placed eighth in the Mid-Southern Conference Tournament at Wooded View Golf Course in Clarksville and ninth at the Bloomington North Sectional at Bloomington Country Club.

This year’s roster featured no juniors or seniors. The Braves had two sophomores and seven freshmen.

Sophomore Lucas VonDielingen was named the Braves’ most valuable player. VonDielingen played in the No. 1 spot for the Braves all season.

The most improved player was freshman Luke Darlage, and Caden Clodfelder was the mental attitude award-winner.

Clodfelder and VonDielingen were both presented letter jackets.

Darlage and fellow freshmen Colton Hallow, Liam Kreis and Cooper Wolka all received their first varsity letters.

Mitchell Taylor was the assistant coach to Allman this spring.
