A 24-year-old Seymour man faces three preliminary felony charges after Seymour police said they purchased drugs from him over the last three months.

Cody Allan Hohenstreiter faces a Level 4 felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine and Level 5 felony charges of dealing in heroin and dealing a controlled substance.

Detective Adam Surface and Officer Mike Henley arrested Hohenstreiter around noon Thursday at his residence on Nicholas Court, Surface said.

He said police will continue to investigate Hohenstreiter’s activity, and more people could be arrested.

"We expect more arrests from this case," he said.

It’s at least the seventh such arrest this year where Seymour police have purchased drugs and arrested people on dealing charges. It’s the fourth such arrest recently.

Officers oversee the controlled purchases during investigations.

Hohenstreiter was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 1:43 p.m. without bond.

A Level 4 felony is punishable between two and 12 years upon conviction. The advisory sentence is six years.
