Edward Spicer, 90, of Seymour passed away Monday, August 12, 2019, at Seymour Crossing in Seymour.

Born April 17, 1929 in Altro, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Kelly and Easter Arrowood Spicer. He was married to Robbie Merritt Spicer, who survives in Alabama.

Edward was retired from Cummins Engine Co. in Columbus in 1983 after 33 years and served during the Korean War in the U.S. Marines.

Survivors include son, Bob (Susan) Spicer of Crothersville; daughters, Peggy Davidson of Seymour and Alice Brock of Crothersville; stepson, Cecil (Sherry) Hart of Auburn, Alabama; stepdaughter, Jennie Smith of Opelika, Alabama; and stepgrandson, Levi Hart of Auburn, Alabama.

He is also survived by five grandchildren, Julia (James) Lucas, John Beckemeyer, Christina (Shane) Busby, Ashley Spicer and Mitch Spicer, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Hillard Spicer, Golden Masters, Noah Spicer, Jason Spicer, William Spicer and an infant daughter.

A graveside service is at noon Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin with the Rev. Mike Seaney officiating.

Burial will be at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin.
