Theta Omega chapter of Phi Beta Psi sorority met Feb. 5 at Larrison’s Diner in Seymour for its February social and Founder’s Day celebration.

Doris Baurle and Kathleen Johnson were hostesses. Baurle read the Founder’s Day tribute. She was assisted with the lighting of the candles by Jan Robinson. Phi Beta Psi was founded 116 years ago on Feb. 15, 1904, by six young ladies in Columbus, Ohio.

The 14 members present ordered from a special menu and came ready to eat and socialize. There was a special count taken of certain items in purses. The individual total went as points for the Spirit Club red and white teams.

Lucky lady names drawn were Beckie Anderson, Alice Christopher, Jo Pfaffenberger and Karen Schepman.

This month’s business meeting will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Community Foundation of Jackson County in Seymour.
