According to a news release from the Seymour Police Department, Forrest was pulled over and arrested at 3:50 p.m. Monday by officers with the Seymour Police Department and Jackson County Sheriff’s Department with the support of DEA Group 51 of Indianapolis.

Officers said they recognized Forrest as someone with an active warrant for dealing methamphetamine in Jackson County, which led them to stop him. Police also said they knew Forrest had a suspended driver’s license.

During the stop, officers recovered 10 grams of methamphetamine, $2,259 in cash, 1.4 pounds of marijuana, digital scales and multiple items of paraphernalia, police said.

According to the news release, Forrest said he intended to engage officers and force them to shoot him once he was stopped, but he was unable to because of the speed of the stop.

Staff members at the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown located additional methamphetamine on Forrest after he was taken to the facility, police said.
