A 41-year-old man faces a Level 1 felony charge of child molestation in connection with an investigation by the Seymour Police Department that started earlier this year.
Jason M. Hankins of Seymour also faces Level 4 felony charges of incest and sexual misconduct with a minor.
According to the probable cause affidavit signed by Seymour Detective Troy Munson, the investigation uncovered several incidents involving a child and Hankins over a number of years.
A Jackson Circuit Court warrant was issued for Hankins on Wednesday, and he was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 1:18 p.m. Thursday. He is being held without bond.
A Level 1 felony carries a sentence of 20 to 40 years with an advisory sentence of 30 years, while a Level 4 felony is punishable by two to 12 years with an advisory sentence of six years.
