Library offering online, remote services

Due to Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s extended stay-at-home order, Jackson County Public Library facilities in Seymour, Crothersville and Medora will be closed at least through May 3.

The Discovery Bus also will be off the road.

If help is needed, call 812-523-4636 or email [email protected] and leave a message. Staff members are answering questions from home.

They also are taking this work-at-home time to engage in online learning and staff meetings. Watch for their virtual programs on the library’s Facebook page at facebook.com/MyJCLibrary.

Library cardholders can use OverDrive/Libby, hoopla or Kanopy for e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, movies, music and television shows. Ancestry.com is currently available remotely through the end of April. Links for all online services are at myjclibrary.org.

All library materials checked out before the library closed March 13 are currently due April 28.

The library is providing Wi-Fi from outside each library 24/7 and will re-evaluate hours after May 3.
