Jackson County Public Library offers August programs online

The Jackson County Public Library is offering online programs for adults in August.

Programs will be posted on the library’s Facebook page with a link to the library’s YouTube channel. Click the "Subscribe" button on the library’s YouTube channel and the notification bell icon to stay caught up with the library’s virtual programs.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, a virtual Tech Time will be available. Topics for August videos include the following databases through World Book Online: Early learning on Aug. 2, kids on Aug. 9, students on Aug. 16 and advanced databases Aug. 23. Printing to the library printer from your phone will be offered Aug. 30.

Knit and Crochet Night crafters can view a variety of videos to be posted at 6 p.m. Aug. 13 and 27.

Award-winning author Jean Harper will present a virtual memoir writing workshop, which will be available on the library Facebook page at 2 p.m. Aug. 15.

The workshop will continue to be available on the library’s YouTube channel. This event was made possible with the support of the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Awards powered by Indiana Humanities, which honor the best books written by Indiana authors.

Discovery Bus staff will offer virtual storytimes and crafts for children at 3 p.m. Wednesdays.
