Libraries offer mobile app for cardholders

Evergreen Indiana, of which the Jackson County, Brownstown and Jennings County public libraries are a part, recently released a dedicated mobile app for both Android and iOS devices.

Library cardholders may search the Evergreen Indiana catalog and manage their accounts from their smartphone or tablet.

Features of the app include the ability to easily place and manage holds, check what items are out on an account, check and pay fines and get information about participating libraries, such as mapped locations and hours.

App users can add the accounts of other members of their household, making it easy for parents to manage children’s accounts. The app also includes a digital replica of the library card barcode, which can be used at a checkout desk or self-checkouts at more than 125 libraries in Indiana.

Users must have an active account with an Evergreen Indiana member library to use the app. To access the mobile app, point a device browser to blog.evergreen.lib.in.us/?page_id=5017 or search for Evergreen Indiana Library in the Apple App store or Google Play store.
