Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather virtually to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in October.

Books are available to borrow at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries or through the Libby app.

The Tuesday Night Book Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Members will discuss their monthly book Oct. 13 in the video chat program Zoom. Information Services Manager Janet Hensen will lead the review of “The Titanic Secret” by Clive Cussler.

Register at myjclibrary.org/events to be sent an invitation to this program. Use Zoom from a computer (zoom.us) or download the free app Zoom Cloud Meetings on a phone or tablet from the app store. An email is required for participants to receive a login to the program. If participants do not have an email, they should call 812-523-4636 to request the login.

The virtual book discussion group Book It! is available for teens and adults through Facebook. Join the group at facebook.com/groups/3085051588218685 for health tips, to share recipes or your run and discuss a book through a Facebook event on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Information Services Assistant/Teen Specialist Hillary Pacheco will post to the group several times weekly and facilitate the online discussion of "Hold Me Closer, Necromancer" by Lish McBride on Oct. 27.
