Tattoos 4 Coats runs today through Saturday at Beauty from Ashes Tattoo Parlor, 218 N. Armstrong St., Crothersville.

Anyone who comes in the shop this week and purchases any size tattoo, Beauty from Ashes will purchase a brand-new children’s coat to give to a boy or girl in need.

All coats will be ordered Sunday, and once they are shipped and received, the shop will post on its Facebook page about the pickup times and options.

If you have a child or know a child that could use a new coat, send the shop a message via Facebook messenger with the coat size preferred, gender preference and contact info of person doing pickup.

The idea for the drive came after someone recently donated new children’s coats for the shop to give away.

Most of those coats are gone, but there is still a need in the community.

"Because the need for children’s coats is so immediate, we decided we can’t let it end once we ran out," said Kyle McIntosh, owner of the shop. "We simply cannot turn our head and look the other way."
