On Saturday, 6,829 COVID-19 cases were reported across the state. The following day, 6,211 cases were added to Indiana’s total count of positive COVID-19 cases.

Indiana’s total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 is 5,067 with 27 new deaths being reported Monday.

For the state, a total of 3,939,645 tests have been administered, an increase of 42,237 from Sunday’s reported total.

The results are as of 11:59 p.m. Sunday. The ISDH’s coronavirus dashboard is updated at noon daily.

The state also announced Monday that 2,060 Jackson County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, an increase of 60 from Sunday’s reported total. Yet again, this is the largest number of positive COVID-19 cases reported in Jackson County. The previous record was 54 cases Nov. 18.

On Saturday, 37 additional cases were reported in Jackson County. Sunday saw 47 more reported cases on Sunday.

This puts Jackson County at a positivity rate of 12.3%. The previous day, the positivity rate was 12.7%. On Saturday, the reported positivity rate reached 14.3%.

Positivity rate is determined by a seven-day moving average with a six-day lag. It’s calculated by dividing the total number of positive tests by the total number of tests administered. The reason for the lag is to give time to receive comprehensive results.

The current positivity rate for Jackson County would be for Nov. 10 to 16.

One new death in the county attributed to COVID-19 was reported by the state on Saturday, meaning the COVID-19 death toll in Jackson County grew to 33.

There have been 22,782 tests administered overall in Jackson County since March 18, an increase of 305 from Sunday’s report.
