Compassionate Friends plans candle lighting event

0

The Compassionate Friends will unite with family and friends around the globe in lighting candles in memory of their children, grandchildren and siblings who have died on Dec. 13.

The Southern Indiana chapter will meet at 6:30 p.m. that day at Vienna Baptist Church, 11 W. Leota Road, Scottsburg.

All parents, grandparents, siblings and their families are invited to attend. Anyone planning to attend is asked to bring a framed photo of their child to set on the chapter’s memory table and a TCF votive it they have one. If not, one will be provided.

The program will feature poems, readings, music and lighting of the candles.

This year, because of COVID-19, there will be no snacks or fellowship time. Masks are required.

If you are unable to attend the program, visit compassionatefriends.org/virtual-worldwide-candle-lighting and click on virtual candle lighting for an opportunity to register for the virtual candle lighting on webinar.
