Virtual job fair planned next week

Ivy Tech Community College and The Tribune have partnered to help employers in south central Indiana address employment needs.

Companies from large multi-shift manufacturing operations to service industry employers are represented. A total of 33 employers have signed on for a virtual career fair to be held Wednesday and Thursday.

Just like many other things have changed over the last year, so, too, have career fairs. Once held in large meeting spaces with face-to-face exchanges between companies and interviews, career fairs have moved online.

Employers and job seekers will be able to chat or video call from their mobile devices or desktop computers. This process is very similar to social media messaging.

The event is free for job seekers, and they may register at jobmatchindiana.careerfair.live and follow onscreen instructions.
