INDOT seeks input on accessibility transition plan

The Indiana Department of Transportation is seeking comments from the public as it’s updating its Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan.

This document defines and describes how INDOT implements federal and state accessibility requirements into its policies and programs for the next three years.

Comments are being sought from the public, disability and community stakeholders, transportation partners and local governmental entities. The public’s participation and involvement in transportation decision-making is an integral and important part of the development of INDOT’s ADA compliance program.

The plan will serve as a resource and a starting point of discussion for public participation and involvement.

Send comments or questions about the ADA Transition Plan by June 15 to INDOT’s ADA coordinator, Barbara Malone, at [email protected] or 100 N. Senate Ave., N758, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
