Titus Roberts of Hayden won his first go-kart race of the season on June 4 at the Whiteland Raceway Park. He is the son of Hope native Greg Roberts and his wife Alisha, a Brownstown native.

Columbus Speedway go-karts results
The Columbus Speedway Go-Kart Racing, which holds events at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds, held a racing program on June 5.
The division winners were Kyle Thayer (clone 420), Bentley McCann (rookies), Calli Lucas (pred), Isaac Johnson (clone 340), Bradley Brown (junior 2), Juan Grino (rwyb), Conner Smith (junior 1), Colton Lucas (flatheads), Blayne Fox (junior 3), and Gene Wheeler (clone 380).
The next event at the fairgrounds will be on June 19.
Overton gets first Dream victory at Eldora
Brandon Overton of Evans, Georgia, scored the biggest win of his racing career on Thursday at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, winning the 27th annual Dirt Late Model Dream. Overton collected $127,000 for the win.
Overton took the lead from Brandon Sheppard on lap 61 and pulled away for the win. Tim McCreadie finished second followed by Kyle Bronson, Dale McDowell and Sheppard.
Completing the top 10 were Dennis Erb Jr., Jonathan Davenport, Zack Dohm, Nick Hoffman and Hudson O’Neal.
Tonight, will be the 26th annual Dirt Late Model Dream paying $126,000 to win. The race will be streamed live on floracing.com.
Indiana Midget Week results
The 2021 USAC Indiana Midget Week kicked off on June 3 at the Paragon Speedway with Thomas Meseraull scoring a thrilling last-lap pass to win the opener. On June 4, Buddy Kofoid drive the Keith Kunz Motorsports entry to the victory at the Bloomington Speedway. The next night on June 5 at the Lawrenceburg Speedway, it was Logan Seavey taking the top honors. The weekend closed out on June 6 at the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt as Kyle Cummins won both the USAC midget feature and the sprint car feature race. Action picked back up on June 9 at the new Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis as Corey Day took the main event win.
The week concludes tonight at the Kokomo Speedway.
Twin Cities results
The Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon held a fan appreciation night on June 5 with a full night of racing.
Jeremy Hines of Seymour won the crate late model feature for his first win of the year. Hunter Perry of Columbus took the hornet division feature. Zach Sasser from Bedford grabbed the super stock feature, Mark Hines of North Vernon won the pure stock main and Jeffery Cranmer of Memphis was victorious in the pure stock main event. Jordan Wever of Bloomington was the open wheel modified feature winner.
Tonight, Twin Cities will host the BOSS sprint cars, Tony Stewart’s All-Star Circuit of Champions TQ Midgets, 305 sprint cars, and modifieds. For information, visit twincitiestrack.com.
Gilpin wins twice in Kentucky
Devin Gilpin of Columbus continued his recent hot streak as he won two late model events last weekend in Kentucky. On June 4, the third-generation racer won at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and on June 5 at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. Gilpin earned a $1,000 bonus for sweeping both events bringing his winnings to over $9,000 for the weekend.
Neal wins at Putnamville
Tyler Neal of Paragon continued his early season success as he won the Indiana Late Model Series event on June 5 at the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville.
Steve Peeden finished second followed by Josh Boller, Raymond Humphrey and Mason Covey.
Completing the top 10 were Zack Burton, Austin Tunny, Robert Ramey, Michael Wesselmanand Justin Bowling.
Owens wins at Salem
Jeremy Owens of North Vernon won his first career crate late model feature on June 4 at the Thunder Valley Raceway in Salem.
The next event at the track will be on June 18 with crate late models, super stocks, pure stocks and Crown Vics.
Brownstown racing tonight
After two weekends idle the Brownstown Speedway will resume it’s 2021 racing season tonight with a full program of pro late models, super stocks, pure stocks, Crown Vics and hornets. From 60 years ago in 1961 at Brownstown Cecil Beavers won the feature race over Calvin Gilstrap and Dick Gaines.
From 50 years ago tonight in 1971 at Brownstown Jack Owens won the late model feature race over Kenny Simpson, Jim Curry, Ira Bastin and Don Hobbs.
Also, from 50 years ago tonight at Twin Cities someone other than Tommy Day won the feature race as Dale Burton took the top spot over Larry Exner, Gary Herbert, Bill Smith and Jim Giltner. Day had won nine straight feature events to start the 1971 season.
From 50 years ago this weekend at Whitewater Valley Speedway in Liberty it was Billy Teegarden winning the V-8 late model feature and Bob Smith took the V-6 feature.
Also, from 50 years ago this weekend at Paragon Speedway Bob Kinser won the sprint car feature over Sheldon Kinser, Steve Cannon, Rex Mitchell and Leon Thickstun. Steve Bowlen won the stock car feature over Bud Glidden, Slim Simpson, and Jack Wolf.
Bob Kinser would win the next night 50 years ago at Haubstadt over Chuck Amati, Dick Gaines, and Sheldon Kinser. Bill Duncan won the late model feature race.
From 50 years ago in 1971 at Bloomington Speedway Larry Miller won the sprint car feature over Dick Gaines, Mike Johnson, Calvin Gilstrap and Leon Thickstun. Rodney Ritter Sr. won the stock car feature.
From 40 years ago in 1981 at Brownstown Ray Godsey won the late model feature over Kenny Simpson, Noel Witcher, Russ Petro and Carl Collins. Ernie Niemoeller won the modified street stock feature over Merrill Downey, Troy Burton, Don Barnett, and Bill Pollitt.
