Beacon Credit Union has announced the appointment of Jaime Alter as mortgage loan originator at its Peru office located at 904 W. Main St.

She will be serving the needs of Grant, Jackson and surrounding counties.

Alter demonstrates a keen knowledge of real estate laws, regulations and policies and uses her proficiencies in financial counseling to provide members with the best mortgage loan options available to them, according to a news release from Beacon.

As a mortgage loan originator, Alter will be responsible for originating mortgage purchases, refinances and home equity loans.

She has worked in multiple financial service positions, including a teller at Wabash County Farm Bureau Credit Union in Marion and branch manager at Salin Bank and Trust Co. in Kokomo. She is a notary public and attended Indiana Business College focusing on secretarial studies and office management.
