Notice To Taxpayers Of
Additional Appropriations

Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of Jackson County, Indiana, that the County Council of said County will meet at the Courthouse Annex, Brownstown, Indiana at 8:00 a.m. on the 15th day of September 2008 to consider the following additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the current year.

General Fund

County Assessor

Personal Services, $26,950.09

Supplies, $1,840.66

Other Services and Charges, $3,170.86

Veterans Administration

Fuel, $9,000.00

County Sheriff

Utilities, $30,000.00

Reassessment Fund

County Assessor

Personal Services, $1,077.00

Supplies, $1,000.00

Other Services and Supplies, $7,310.00

Contractual Services, $20,337.38

Motor Vehicle Highway Fund

Highway Supervisor

Bituminous Mixed Agg, $50,000.00

Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard. The additional appropriations as finally made will be referred to the State Department of Local Government Finance. The DLGF will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support the appropriations made within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a Certified Copy of the action taken.
