Notice

The fiscal agent for Distrit 8 is soliciting resumes to contract with an individual or firm to provide administrative services for the district. District 8 is composed of seven (7) counties in South-central Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security is assisting local communities in developing District planning, preparedness and response capabilities across the State. To accomplish this goal, three specialized groups will be formed in each on Indiana's ten Homeland Security Districts.

District Planning Councils (DPC) serve as the primary bodies responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing strategic and operational planning and documentation to support the emergency preparedness activities of local jurisdictions. The DPC is appointed and governed by a District Planning Oversignt Committee (DPOC). The DPOC is comprised of the chief elected officials from each county. And to respond to local, regional and State disasters, a District Task Force (DTF) consisting of emergency responders will also be formed.

For job qualifications and requirements please contact: Duane Davis, jcema@c3bb.com or call Jackson County Emergency Management at 812-358-6110. Resumes will be accepted until Sept. 12, 2008.
