Aging and Community Services of South Central Indiana Inc., will accept requests for proposal packages until 5 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2008 for services for the elderly and at-risk disabled in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings counties. The proposal packages will be due in the central office of the agency no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2008. The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration has made available no more than $1,195,315 of Title III, and Title VII of the Older Americans Act and Social Services Block Grant funds of $241,332. Funds for contracts to providers of access, in-home, community and legal services will be for contract year, July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009. In addition, providers are being sought for services through the CHOICE Program to purchase services for an individual client. Services to be purchased with CHOICE funds include adult day care, home delivered meals, home health care, homemaker, respite care, transportation and other services necessary to prevent institutionalization.
