Notice to Taxpayers Of
Reduction of Appropriations

Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of Jackson County, Indiana, that the County Council of said County will meet at the Courthouse Annex, Brownstown, Indiana, at 8:00 a.m. on the 15th day of September 2008, to consider the following reductions of appropriations for the current year.

General Fund

Jackson Township Assessor

Personal Services, $26,950.09

Supplies, $1,760.66

Other Services and Charges, $1,818.66

Vernon Township Assessor

Supplies, $80.00

Other Services and Charges, $700.00

Owen Township Assessor

Others Services and Charges, $320.00

Pershing Township Assessor

Other Services and Charges, $150.00

Redding Township Assessor

Other Services & Charges, $22.20

Driftwood Township Assessor

Other Services & Charges, $100.00

Grassy Fork Township Assessor

Other Services and Charges, $60.00

Reassessment Fund

Jackson Township Assessor

Personal Services, $1,077.00

Supplies, $1,000.00

Other Services and Charges, $7,310.00

Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard. The reduction of appropriations as finally made will be referred to the State Department of Local Government Finance. The DLGF will make a written determination as to reduction of appropriations within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a Certified Copy of the action taken.
