Burglary report leads to 3 arrests
Comments 0 | Recommend 0CROTHERSVILLE — A burglary at a Crothersville food mart led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of illegal drugs, police say.
On Monday, a burglary was reported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at USA Falcon Food Mart in Crothersville. Officer Rick Meyer initially investigated the incident before Detective Bob Lucas was called to assist at the scene.
Throughout the day on Tuesday, a press release stated, evidence and information was gathered with the assistance of Crothersville Police Chief Vurlin McIntosh and Jackson County Detectives Rick Blaker Jr. and Rob Henley. The investigation continued nonstop for more than 30 hours.
A search warrant was served at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in Crothersville, resulting in the recovery of much of the stolen property as well as the discovery of illegal drugs and supplies.
Arrested at the scene were Heather Bailey, 24, Crothersville; Randall Glover, 25, Crothersville; and Timothy Clay Mitchell III, 20, Crothersville.
Bailey faces charges of dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, a class A felony; possession of marijuana; and maintaining a common nuisance. Glover and Mitchell both face charges of burglary, a class C felony, and theft, a class D felony.
Assisting in serving the search warrant were Blaker, Lucas and Henley, all of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, and Officer Daryl Hickman of the Crothersville Police Department and reserve officers Rex Robinson and Chris Everhart.
