Jackson County Utility Inc.

Drinking Water Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to obtain SRF Funding

The Jackson County Water Utility Inc. will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 at Jackson County Water Utility Office, 1119 Spring Street, Brownstown, Indiana 47220.

Jackson County Water Utility's engineering consultant Robert E. Curry and Associates Inc. will present the recommended upgrades to Jackson County Water Utility's drinking water infrastructure, which will include construction of new water mains, a new raw water supply well, and improvements at the water treatment plant.

The project will be funded through a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loan.

Copies of the required Preliminary Engineer Report (PER) are available for public viewing starting May 10th through May 25th at the Jackson County Water Utility Office.

There will be the opportunity for questions and comments from the public at this meeting. Written comments from the public will be accepted through May 25th, 2008. Your participation is welcomed and encouraged. If you will require special assistance at the meeting, please contact Mr. Darrell Baker, 812-358-3654.
