Mary Gladys Dillman

Mary Gladys Dillman, 90, Salem, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown.

Mrs. Dillman was a member of Liberty Christian Church, Norman. She was a retired employee of O.H. Canfield Company, Seymour.

Born Feb. 5, 1917, in Hemphill, W.Va., she was the daughter of Hiram and Dora Mae Dean Hounshel.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Alice Brown, Fredericksburg, Kathleen Ault-Downing, Norman, and Virginia F. Embry, Salem; a sister, Kate Tripp, Seymour; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Dillman, in 1983; two sons, James Elmer and Clyde Eugene Dillman; brothers, Elmer, Clyde and Carl Hounshel; and a sister, Lillie Shipe.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Weathers Funeral Home, Salem. Burial will take place at Wheeler Hollow Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
