Notice is hereby given that at 10:00 a.m. on the 16th day of September, 2008, the State Forester, acting for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Director of Public Works and Supply, will offer for sale the following described property: Stumpage containing an estimate 469,150 board feet (Doyle) in an estimated 1716 trees with culls with no volume, at a public sale to be held in the office of Selmier State Forest located at 905 E. Co. Rd. 350 N., North Vernon, Indiana 47265, (812) 346-2286.
Sealed bids for such property will be received at the office of the Property Manager until the hour and date above set out, at which time and place all acceptable bids will be publicly opened and real aloud, and any bids received after the designated time will be returned unopened.
Bidders are required to submit a check payable to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for 5 percent (.05) of their bid amount at the time of bid opening as a performance deposit. The performance deposit amount is not part of the total bid payment, but is a separate payment to ensure compliance with contract provisions.
The property will be sold under written contract to the responsible bidder making the highest bid, provided the bid is acceptable to the state. The terms of the sale will be cash, the buyer to accept delivery of the property and to remove the property therefrom on or before the 1st day of October, 2009. The state reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and/or all bids. Failure to the highest acceptable bidder to execute said written contract within 14 calendar days from the date of bid opening will result in forfeiture of the performance deposit. The Department (at its discretion) reserves the right to rebid the sale and contract provisions.
Only current licensed buyers or their registered agents may submit bids. Buyer should be satisfy himself as to volume in sale.
