The Board of Zoning Appeals of the City of Seymour, Indiana will hold a public hearing on the 22 day of April, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, Indiana on a "Petition to Vary from Land Use Requirements" for real estate within the jurisdiction of the Board of Zoning Appeals. A copy of the petition is on file and available for review at the Department of Planning and Zoning of the City of Seymour, Indiana.
The hearing is open to the public, all adjoining property owners, and any other interested person. Interested persons may appear and offer comments on the petition during the hearing. Any person who chooses to submit written comments or objections may do so at the Department of Planning and Zoning, 301-309 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, Indiana before 4:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing.
The name of the applicant is Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital d/b/a Schneck Medical Center and the owner is Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital d/b/a Schneck Medical Center. The affected real estate address is 411, 415 and 417 South Poplar Street and 417 West Brown Street, Seymour, Indiana and fronts on Poplar and Brown Streets. The present zoning classification is R-1 which is Residential.
The applicant has requested a variance on land use requirements for the real estate to allow the real estate to be used as parking to replace parking lost due to hospital expansion.
The legal description of the real estate affected is as follows:
411 South Poplar - Lot 8 Block A of Butlers Addition to the City of Seymour;
415 South Poplar - Lot 7 Block A of Butlers Addition to the City of Seymour;
417 South Poplar - Lot 6 Block of Butlers Addition to the City of Seymour;
417 West Brown - Lot 10 Block A of Butler's Addition to the City of Seymour.
