City of Seymour: Miscellaneous Repairs at the WWTP

The City of Seymour, Indiana intends to use their remaining SRF Loan funds/balance for work at the wastewater treatment plant. The work to be completed includes roof replacement, construction of walls, installation of a rainfall data logger, and other work as described in the following.

The roofs of the Secondary Control Building, Primary Control Building, and Blower Building will be replaced to eliminate leakage and prevent building and equipment damage. A rainfall data logger will be provided to meet Indiana Department of Environmental Management requirements in the event of an overflow. Other work includes the replacement of the existing Blower Building overhead sectional doors, replacement of the existing Secondary Control Building doors, replacement of an existing man door in the Primary Control Building, new electric gate operators at the Headworks Building, and the installation of nonpotable water pumps at the Effluent Structure.

The work is anticipated to begin in March 2010 and be completed in August 2010. If you have any questions please contact Tony Akles, P.E. with Strand Associates Inc. at 812-372-9911.
