Two people were hospitalized Friday after a one vehicle wreck in Clearspring.

Kelsey J. Craig, 18, of Bloomington and Scott J. Woods, 21, of Loogootee were both taken to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

Craig was later transported to Methodist Hospital by helicopter. As of Friday evening Craig’s condition was serious but stable. Woods was released after treatment, according to the news release by Officer Adam Nicholson.

The wreck, reported around 4:30 p.m. Friday, occurred near the 9000 block of West County Road 350N when Craig lost control of a blue GMC pickup and collided with a Jackson County REMC utility pole, police said Monday.

Assisting at the scene were Jackson County Officer Tom Barker, Jackson County Ambulance Service and Pershing Volunteer Fire Department.
