Patricia Ann VonDielingen
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Patricia Ann VonDielingen, 76, Seymour, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. VonDielingen was an office worker at Agency on Aging and an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sauers. Her memberships include VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, both of Seymour, the Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary and The Oakdale Club, both of North Vernon. She worked with Childcare Network, was a secretary for the Brownstown grade school and for the Lutheran Community Home. She also was a personal caregiver of Lea Johnson for two years.
Born in Lorain, Ohio, on Aug. 31, 1931, she was the daughter of Ernest and Eugenia May Lark Cassidy, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 10, 1973, she married her husband of over 34 years, Leo E. VonDielingen, who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Vicki (Bob) Sommer; two sons, William “Bill” Hukill and Gary Hukill; four grandchildren, Angie (Dereck) Hamilton, William Robbins, Ryan (Terri) Robbins, and Krista Lang; and seven great-grandchildren, Sophie Robbins, Kassie Jackson-Robbins, Brady McDole, Hallee and Wyatt Hamilton, and Emilee and Tori Lang.
She was preceded in death by her Aunt Laura and Uncle Bill Funke who raised her as their own child and whom she later took care of in their old age; one grandson, Robby Sommer; and brothers and sisters, Frank, Earl, Bill, Ernest Jr., Evelyne, Irene and Ruth.
Vicar David Kane and Pastor Scott Kozisek will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sauers. Burial will take place at Vernon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be given to donor’s choice.
