Comments 0 | Recommend 0Calvary Baptist Church, Seymour, welcomed Pastor David Schrock and his family on Jan. 1 to be its senior pastor.
The Schrock family includes Pastor David, wife, Wendy, and son, Titus. They are expecting another child in June.
Schrock is from Mendon, Mich. He graduated from Albion College in Michigan and received his master’s degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. He is currently working on his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Southern Seminary. Schrock came to know the Lord while in high school. While attending college he became involved with Campus Crusades. After college he moved to Tennessee and was involved with a discipleship class before starting seminary.
Expositional teaching of the Bible is one of his main focuses. He also has a desire for evangelism, discipleship and “serving in the community God has put us in,” a press release stated. Schrock is interested in learning about Seymour and being involved with community activities. He would like to soon start a Sunday school class at Calvary for young married couples.
Wendy is from Orland Park, Ill., a suburb of Chicago. She graduated from Boyce College in Louisville. She has an interest in children’s ministries.
The Schrocks say they enjoy being with people and fellowshipping with others. They have an interest in sporting and athletic activities.
Calvary Baptist invites all to meet Schrock and his family. Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
