Alpha Beta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi met at the home of Jane Dirks on June 2 for installation of officers and the monthly business meeting.
A dinner of lasagna, salad, bread and dessert was served by the members of the gold attendance team.
Georigann Coons installed the following officers for the 2008-2009 year:
President, Carolyn Canaday, vice president, Holly Cornn, corresponding secretary, Cinda Summa, treasurer, Lori Dixon, recording secretary, Angie Craig, social treasurer, Holly Cornn, advisor, Janis Brett, and installing officer, Georigann Coons.
Robin Cummings reported that Psi Iota Xi awarded scholarships to Jessica Hackman, Libby Cupp and Heather Leavy. There was also one band camp scholarship awarded.
The nominees for Psi Ote of the year were Georgiann Coons, Lori Dixon, and Holly Cornn. The Psi Ote of the year was won by Holly Cornn. She received an engraved silver tray. The next meeting will be held Sept. 2.
Seymour City
Seymour City Homemakers met June 4 with seven members present.
The group traveled to Salem and had lunch at Christy's. Following lunch they visited the Brickyard Sampler and Craft Town.
The club fair queen will be Amanda Harmeson.
Next meeting will be July 2 at the home of Mary Ellen Snyder with Vicki Trittle as co-hostess.
