COMING UP: Commissioners given over view of tour of sexually oriented businesses
Comments 0 | Recommend 0BROWNSTOWN — An official with a regional organization opposed to sexually oriented businesses offered to investigate one located at Uniontown for Jackson County officials Tuesday morning.
Rob Patterson with WAR-LINE gave county commissioners an overview of a tour he recently conducted for members of Jackson County Watchdog, the media and law enforcement.
Jackson County Watchdog is an organization committed to seeing The Lions Den at the Uniontown site close. That store opened in August 2005, and protesters have maintained a presence in front of the store on public property since that opening.
They also are paying for an attorney to help the county try to close the business based upon ordinances put in place by commissioners shortly before The Lions Den opened and since that time.
