BROWNSTOWN — Fire Department Officer John Sweeney gave the monthly report for the department when Brownstown Town Council met Monday night.

Sweeney said 19 firefighters responded to one structure fire in September. There also was one false alarm, 16 medical runs, one training session and 38 work details.

Scott Hunsucker, the town’s wastewater treatment plant manager, also gave his monthly report.

He said there were no National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit violations during September.

The average daily flow at the plant was 346,000 gallons and the monthly total flow was 12.6 million gallons.

Hunsucker also reported that children from Lutheran Central School toured the plant on Oct. 17 and that fall maintenance was 95 percent complete.
