Medora Community School trustees approved lunch prices for the 2008-09 school year during a brief meeting in the media center Monday.
The cost of a student lunch was increased 10 cents to $1.60, while an adult lunch will be 15 cents more at $2.40. The student cost for breakfast will be $1, up from 95 cents, and an adult breakfast will be $1.90, up from $1.80.
The cost for student reduced lunches will be the same as the present school year at 40 cents, while student reduced breakfasts remain unchanged at 30 cents.
Milk prices will be 45 cents, up from 35 cents this year.
That increase is the results of a 40 percent increase in the cost of milk products, Interim Superintendent Robert Mahan reported. Prairie Farms was the lone bidder for milk products, while Interstate Bakeries Corp. was the only bidder for bread products.
Trustees also agreed to allow Jason Downs to provide bus maintenance services. Mahan said Downs' bid was 25 percent higher than the present year and his cost per hour is $45.
The board accepted the resignation of art teacher Andrea Bartels, who is taking a teaching position at another school, and hired Melinda Autry to replace fifth-grade teacher Loris Hubbard, who is on leave.
