Medora man killed

Dies in Jennings County wreck

A Medora man was killed and a North Vernon man was injured in a wreck Friday in Jennings County.

Jennings County officers responded to a personal injury wreck on County Road 850, south at County Road 800 West.

Claude R. Ault of Medora was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Jennings County Sheriff's Department.

Daniel Rodgers of North Vernon was taken to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour with head and neck injuries.

The wreck is under investigation by accident reconstructionist Deputy Anthony Maberry with assistance by Sgt. Tom Webster.

Witnesses, along with a property owner, assisted law enforcement and rescue personnel with the wreck.
