Child struck by vehicle waiting for school bus
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A 7-year-old child was hospitalized in Louisville on Monday morning after he was struck by a vehicle while waiting on a school bus in Jennings County, police say.
According to a report from Sheriff Steve Hoppock, the child was struck by a westbound vehicle while waiting for the school bus on County Road 300N near County Road 700W in Jennings County.
The child was flown by helicopter to Kosair’s Children’s Hospital in Louisville with leg injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, Jason Brown, 36, of North Vernon was not hurt, police reported.
Hoppock said the incident, reported at 7:14 a.m., remains under investigation by Sgt. Karen McCoy and Deputy Kevin Hall.
