UPDATED AT 9:39 a.m. TUESDAY

A Louisville woman was killed in a wreck around 11:45 a.m. Monday near the Austin exit at Interstate 65.

Indiana State Police said the woman, whose name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, crossed the median into the northbound lanes of traffic and struck the left rear tandems of a northbound semi driven by Kenneth J. Yeadon, 55, of Mooresville.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by Scott County Deputy Coroner Kevin Collins. Yeadon was not injured.

The semi tractor and trailer, which is owned by Kindle Trucking of Martinsville, was damaged and towed from the scene.

Northbound traffic was routed off the interstate at the Scottsburg exit.

An Indiana State Police Crash Reconstructionist recreated the crash scene.

Assisting agencies included Scott County EMS, Jennings Township Volunteer Fire Department, Scott County Sheriff's Department and Scottsburg Fire Department.
